Patriot was formed in 2003 by an ex-offshore powerboat racer, Peter Harris whom had great racing success in the 1970's and 80's.
Initially conceived as a RIB builder, Patriot Marine, recently diversified into the design and manufacture of commercial and leisure fishing vessels. Utilising the knowledge and experience of local fishermen from Mudeford Christchurch throughout the design process, we have conceived a vessel that has the true fisherman's needs at heart.
At Patriot we strive for perfection; our fishing boats are a result of a continuous development process involving regular input from our customers. All our vessels are manufactured in Christchurch, Dorset and we are proud to support local businesses. British designed, British built.
The new Patriot 700 Easy Access is an accessible fishing and workboat built to Seafish standards and boasts a new hull with outstanding stability designed specifically for those with limited mobility. 2019 brings a newly designed opening bow with a two stage ramp. This will give access from a beach for wheelchairs.
The new Patriot 700 can have doors allowing boarding from aft or midships using ramps and specially designed grab rails to assist those mariners with limited mobility. The Patriot 700 benefits from a deep freeboard and has been designed to maximise deck space enabling wheelchairs to be safely and securely anchored.
We are currently working with a couple of sailing clubs who are affiliated to the RYA Sailability Programme to enable disabled people to get afloat or as a club rescue boat.
The boats can be MCA coded, supplied with a Seafish Certificate, and are approved to RCD Cat ‘C’
The generous deck space lends itself to commercial and leisure fishing, workboats including ferries, rescue & survey boats, or general workboats particularly suitable for Harbour Authorities and Patrols.
